Meta Ads Instant Forms now has a native integration with Google Sheets

Meta Ads campaign that direct people to an Instant Form (ie. a form hosted on Facebook or Instagram) typically have a lower CPA than campaigns that direct traffic to your own website to complete a form. The Instant Form is completed without leaving the platform and a lot of the times it prefills your details, since it already knows things like your email address.

However when users complete a lead form, it goes into the Meta Leads centre. Your options were:

  • Log into the Meta Leads centre regularly and download a CSV – very inconvenient
  • Use an automator integration like Zapier – this has an extra cost and is an extra tool that could fail
  • Use a partner integration – takes time to set up and probably extra cost depending on the partner

However, now there is a native Google Sheets integration so you can pipe new leads into an existing Google Sheet without using any 3rd party connector and it will instantly appear. You even get information for each lead about which campaign and ad set they came from, which is useful if you reuse the same form in multiple places.

This doesn’t automate things fully if you wanted to (say) migrate each lead to your CRM in real time but it does help, and it might be enough reason to revisit this campaign type.
