Pro Bono Program

Digital marketing & analytics assistance for charities and non-profits

UPDATE: We have currently paused taking on new applications to give us time to process the current applicants. Please check back on this page later in 2025.

As digital marketing becomes more competitive, volatile, and AI/data-driven, keeping up to date has become a greater challenge for non profits than ever before. Time and time again, we’ve seen great causes run inadequate, out of date and poor ROI campaigns, often due to:

  • Lack of time in-house for proper management
  • Lack of know-how to work out the best workflows
  • Inadequate, wrong or incomplete website analytics and conversion tracking
  • Lack of knowledge of latest paid and organic trends

The team at Tactic Lab combined an impressive depth of technical knowledge with an intelligent sensitivity to our organisation’s strengths and opportunities. Their proactive approach to needs analysis means that their strategy was complementary to our existing skills and resources, as well as being ambitious enough to show us how we could shoot for the stars.

Lyndal Howison, National Manager – Marketing, JDRF Australia

To help, we’ve set aside 50 pro bono consulting hours (valued at $11,750 ex GST) for 2025 to be spread across one or more charities. Examples of assistance that non profits typically find useful includes (but is not limited to):

  • Improving the setup and usage of Google Analytics 4
  • Audit of opportunities/digital strategy/digital marketing
  • Google Grant and advertising for non profits
  • Reporting and data insights
  • Improving automations, data flow and customer personalisation
  • Improving the website and lead capture/donation experience
  • Improving SEO and usability fundamentals

Indigenous Art Code received valuable advice and support for our website redevelopment project through Tactic Lab’s Pro Bono Program. Michael and the team have helped us to make sense of the digital landscape and ensure we are well-positioned in it through data analytics, reporting, SEO and website optimisation.

Marie Falcinella, Indigenous Art Code

Tactic Lab helped provide us with an easy-to-read analytics dashboard that meant we can track and get accessible reporting from various areas of our org (tech, domain, campaign) that we couldn’t before. They are experts in digital analytics and we are really grateful for the time they took with understanding the complexity of our organisation and building a dashboard specific to our needs and desires. We would highly recommend their services.
